Re-ments #2

Wheeee~ Happy girl! My other 2 packages arrived from HongKong and Taiwan together on the 26th! Posted a lil late as I was under the weather. Couldn't even sit up for the past 3 days! It was god awful to keep lying in bed and wriggling in pain from fever.. ugh.. but enough of that, I'll be opening my re-ments to photograph them nicely and maybe make a video or 2 if I feel really much better tomorrow.

Re-ment collection : Megahouse (Doggy Cafe and Black Cat Cafe)
Place I order/bought : ebay
Price : roughly about USD $30 for each (+ shipping and registered mail)

Doggy Cafe : I bought from a seller in Taiwan on ebay named bryan_ych (fast dispatching, fast shipping although it says shipped by 11 - 23 days, fast in responses when asked a question. ATM, he has only 2 different sets of Re-ments as he specializes in selling 1/12 army tanks/warfare minatures)

Black Cat Cafe : bought from a seller in hongkong named hearurheart (her's is a lil more expensive in shipping and doesnt come with the outer box neither does she put the small boxes in a box to protect them from being dented, and the small boxes are already opened to check for the correct item she sends over but overall, she is a trustable seller, at least my item reached! ^^)

P.S so if you like the outer box and all your small boxes to look perfect, buy from the taiwan seller. Do read though, cause he has 2 different option, one with outer box and one without

Happy shopping! Stay tuned for my re-ment opening! ^^

Re-Ments

Let me start on what this blog is about actually...

I'm just someone with a small addiction to toys. There I've said it! I'm already over the age (don't judge!) for toys but I still like them anyway. Pfft...

Latest Collection I've Bought : Hello Kitty Small Cake Shop
Place I Bought : ETradersPlace
Price: SGD$58

Hold your horses a minute before you start screaming at your screen about this girl being mad to buy toys for that amount... I know I could have better spend my $58 else where, blah blah blah... Well.. Don't Judge. I don't really like brands like LV, Prada, Gucci, Coach or such but I do own a few bags from MiuMiu. Still, If you did notice, my blog's all about my demented addictions. I prefer my Hello Kitty and Sanrio. ^^

I am not doing a Re-ment Opening yet as I'm still waiting for the rest of my sets to come along. Yeap.. I still have a few more sets I bought.. ^.^" Quite a number of sets I couldn't get as they were either discontinued or OOS (out of stock). I'm quite a late collector in Re-Ment though so I guess whatever I can get is the best for now. But I'll still be searching! Haha...

Few sets that I wanted which weren't available no matter how I search. Either they were too expensive or they did not have the full sets.

2 out of 5 arrived today (19th July 2013)! YAY!

Latest Collection I bought: Disney Party Birthday Cake
Place I Bought/Ordered: Fan21HK
Price: USD$34 (SGD$42.99)

Latest Collect I Bought : Sanrio Hello Kitty SuperMarket
Place I Bought/Ordered: Amazon.com (from Santa Trading Japan GBI)
Price: USD37.70 (SGD$47.67)

I have another 2 or 3 sets on their way. All should arrive before mid august! ^^ I can't wait! I'll be back again with more post about my Re-ments! Stay Tuned!

Early Announcements!

I AM GOING TAIWAN IN SEPTEMBER!!!! WOOHOO!!!!

Just a quick update, I will be away from Singapore from the 2nd Sept - 7th Sept 2013!

I am going on a eat, shop and relax spree!!

Updates about the trip will be coming along after I'm back from Taiwan! But I do know which Hotel/Hostel I will be staying in! Friends have booked it. So, a small little introduction on it.

I will be living at a place called Color Mix at XiMenDing area. It's a hostel type of setting at about SGD$68(NTD1598) per night. I have asked her to book us a room with double queen beds! SO EXCITED! This might be our room, who knows!

If you would like to take a look at this place, do go to their blog/website : COLORMIX
It's as colorful (Yes, there are other colors besides pink at Budacco) as the hotel I stayed while I was in BKK! Except this is a Hostel setting in a neighborhood, less than 500m away from XiMenDing's shopping area!

Long story short, I'm suppose to go Taiwan this July, which is this week but boyfriend started school on 2nd July, so no trip for us. :(

But it's alright, he told me that I could go with my friends but no one is going anywhere in July. But my diploma batch of friends invited me a month or less back, asking if I could make it to Taiwan with them in Sept. I was unable to give an answer as my schedule wasn't out yet but somehow, schedule for Annual Leave (AL) is out for Sept. Saw it was scheduled on 23rd - 29th and they were going 2nd, I decided to try my luck and change my AL to the date they were going and I got it! YES!!

Boyfriend was alright with me going but I sorta sense that he was a lil' sad that he can't make it to go with me. No worries boyfriend, we can always go another time when I better understand the place from my friends who have been to Taiwan before! Alright? ^^

Other news are, mmm... Actually nothing much though. I am on AL this week as well.. (Tell me about it..) I actually asked my company to cancel my AL and to place this one week of AL in Nov instead of giving it to me in July. They decided not to entertain me so well, I'm stuck with being on AL for a whole week.

But luckily, I have things lined up. I have the Addams Family musical to look forward to, USS trip! my Re-ments (toys) arriving and my miniature project (which I'm lazy to start on) to do. Quite a number of things!

Oh well, I'm done with my update! Do read up to see if I have any other updates! Thank you for reading and do remember to help me clicky click my ads! :)

P.S. I am going to watch Despicable Me 2 later! Yay!! ^^

Hello Kitty and Shopping Haul From Thailand, BKK 2013

Went there on a shopping and food spree on 7th May 2013! Kinda late to be posting about it but just wanna let people know where I got my HK hauls and food from.

I did not go there expecting it to be like Japan, Hello Kitty Galore but I was rather surprised to find that people there were huge fans of Hello Kitty as well..

I had a good haul of Kitty stuff including a Trolley Baggage which cost me SGD$42 (THB 1000)!!!

It's gonna be quite a long post but I hope you find it interesting for those of you who have not been to BKK before. Here's just a small tour from me to you.

We checked into Hotel at 11am. For those of you who wonder which Hotel it is, it goes by the name Budacco.

Address of Place : 122/44 Rajchaprarop Road,
                             Khweng Thanon-Phayathai,
                             Khet Rajchathewi, Bangkok 10400

Hotel Rating: 3 Star
Number of Rooms : 48
Price for my 4 nights : SGD$274 (Avg. per night: $68.50)

And I got the pink colored room! Yay! ^^ My Parents stayed at a different hotel as they booked their hotel later than me.

It's a sparse little room with everything you need to sleep. Bed, TV, Water Boiler, Hair Dryer, Bathroom, Mini Fridge and Aircon. I mean.. I'm sure you don't need to stay in the room for the whole day and only venture out for food then back again, right? So to me, this was enough necessities.

After checking, it was lunch time!!!! Went over to Siam Paragon to meet up with my Parents (Yeap.. They went along with me too). We had lunch at a restaurant.

Restaurant Name: TALING PLING
Location: Ground Floor, G30 Unit
Price: About or less than SGD$100 for 4 person.
We had Crab Fried Rice, Thai Fish cake, Pandan Chicken, Tom Yum Goong and my fave, rice crackers with coconut, minced meat sauce.

After lunch, we went for Dessert at After You. It's located in the same area as TALING PLING.

Restaurant Name: After You
Location: Ground Floor
Price: SGD$7 - 8++ ($195THB) For One HUGE portion
We had Honey Shibuya Toast and Fruit Toast with Chocolate Sauce. Original was the best! YUMS!

After that went for shopping around Siam Paragon and MBK area before heading back for a night's rest.

Next day was eating spree again!

Day 2:

Parents had their breakfast at their own hotel (their's was a 5 star one). Full of Envy. RAWR! Then they came over to my area to shop. My hotel is near Pratunam Shopping Mall. Hehe... Did Shopping!!!
I skipped Breakfast cause I woke up late.. Pfft... Headed straight for lunch after shopping!!!!!

Restaurant Name: Kinnaree
Location: 150m away from NaNa BTS
Price: $ SGD$80++ (1000++ THB)

They have normal restaurant timing whereby they have a rest period in between. We were late but the manager was kind enough to make an exception and warmly welcomed us in. We had, fish, chicken, prawn roll, veggie and a platter of little side dishes rolled up in leaves. All of it was AWESOME! Do go try if you guys have the time. Take a Taxi there and tell Uncle, Sukhumvit soi 8. It'll be worth the trip!

Took a walk around Terminal 21. It's the name of a shopping mall directly connect with NaNa BTS.
Hauls of the first 3 days! I even found LOADS of kitty stuff! Tees, Bolsters, Accessories, etc.!

We had dinner awhile later. Went over to my Parent's Hotel, The Metropolitan. Had dinner at a restaurant which is located at the 1st floor of the hotel.

Restaurant Name: Nahm
Location: First Floor at The Metropolitan Hotel.
Price: WAYYYYYYYY OVER BUDGET! Cost almost SGD$200-300++ (Around there.)
It's Fusion food, Thai and Western fusion. Food was only average. Nothing much to rave about. A number of Caucasians there. Guess it wasn't to either my Parents nor my liking. :/

After Dinner, went for a little show at a night market area called Asiatique. Clean and very wide area of shopping. Didn't have enough time to shop as we were rushing for the Calypso Cabaret Show. I forgot the price but it was rather entertaining (Don't judge, I like to watch musicals) in some ways.
Well.. Day 2 hasn't ended after the show. We went on to Chinatown for Supper. (T_T) Poor Stomach of mine... Mum wanted to continue eating the night away! So off we went.

No specific Restaurant, it was all street stalls! MY FAVE! It's rare to see all these in SG. So it's like a treat for me!!!!

 Wanton Mee

Fish maw soup and Fish ball BeeHoon

Kuey Chup With Crispy Roast Pork

Afterwards, Chinatown's Night market was open. We shop a little while before returning to our Hotels. That was the end of day 2 with my stomach bursting!!! But it was pure bliss!

Day 3:

Parents had breakfast at their hotel again and I was sleeping like a dead log at my own hotel. Mehhh.. Missed Breakfast again! :(

My Happy Mum waited for me to wake up before she headed for 2nd round breakfast in Chinatown. We met them there and started eating again.

We had fishball noodles with crispy fish skin, we had their morning kuey chup (authetic Thai version.) and then sharks fin and birdnest! After Breakfast/Lunch, went shopping!

HELLO KITTY GALORE!!!! And there were more than one shop selling stuff like that!!! It was like I was in heaven!!! After buying stuffs from here (*ahem* Of course I have to buy!) I walked out of the shop and noticed this!
She's so fluffy, I could die!!!!!!! Uber Adorable at 3 months old, she was an eye-candy! Soooooo Sweet! I wish I could cuddle her but can't touch.. Meh! :(

Oh, before we left, mum bought a plate of Thailand's version of Char Kuey Teow.

Finished Shopping, Met Dad's friend at a Hotel near my mum's for High Tea. Tea with sandwich, finger desserts and such... It was alright but the ambience was great! I like the tranquillity of the surrounding. I kinda forget the hotel's name though... High Tea was normal. Not really any difference from those others I had before. Dad's friend foot the bill so I have zero idea how much everything cost.

Tea table with our goodies and area around us. We finished High Tea and went back to my Parent's Hotel room for a shower and to put our things down before heading out again. I knew this tea wouldn't satisfy my mum! She asked for us to go Dinner! Haha!! We went back to Terminal 21 for dinner at their food court called Pier 21.

Location: Top Floor of Terminal 21
Price: SGD$21 (500THB credit into a card like Kopitiam card).

500THB for drinks, food and dessert! Real good price for those who are on a budget! Eat till you burst and all the food were YUMS!!!

We had all sorts of food, it depends on what you people like but those were our choices in the picture. The MUST TRY is the OYSTER EGG! The egg batter is crispy like a piece of keropok! Then we had Mango sticky rice and durian pudding. Then our ice blended fruit juices! All that for SGD$21! You don't get that kinda pricing  in SG! Afterwards, Parents left for massage. I went back to my hotel to my surprise, they have a small night market below!

I randomly went into their 7-eleven and what greeted me at the food section was this! A WHOLE WALL OF CP AND OTHER BRANDS OF PRE-MADE FOOD! I was like wah? SG's selection is like... PFFT......

They even have drink packets in One Piece!!!

I ended the night here and went back to sleep! ROFL!

Day 4:

Woke up, had breakfast outside somewhere and went to continue shopping. Mum suddenly had a bout of virus infection on the throat so she went to see a doctor. She came to meet me after she finished her doctor's. We went to the 4 faced Buddha near Central World and prayed. Afterwards she went back to the Hotel Room. I went to shop to my heart's content! Went over back to Asiatique as well to shop.

Day 5:

Last day in BKK! Last day to eat and shop! I went to Chatukchak in the morning! Street food once more!

You just need to ask any stall owner, Kin Khao? They will try to direct you to the Sector with food. Then after food was shopping!!! Bought souvenirs for friends and bought my pet's stuff! ^^

Had more food, I went to revisit a few foodie places before heading back to SG!

P.S: Street food prices were LOADS cheaper than food in restaurants (they cost anywhere from SGD$1 - 4, 15 - 55THB)! So, I had the best time of my life eating and shopping! ^^ I hope I have helped some people who have not been to BKK to have a clearer understanding!
